The steel yard worker needs to be in good physical shape. The position requires lifting, sometimes exceeding 100 lbs. Currently the pay is $15.00/hr.

Yard Worker Job Description

• Customer Service
      Help load customer’s material and orders.
      Make sure customers or delivery drivers are being helped.

• Security
     Make sure that a customer that is picking up material or finished jobs has been invoiced or that someone on the sales counter knows that they are there out there.
  
• Cut Orders
      Cut orders for customers.

• Receiving   
      Unloading Trucks
      Check material as it comes off of the truck.
      Check the paperwork through as soon as possible setting aside the material for customers first, marking the material and the verbal orders or work orders, calling the customer when necessary, and re-filing the paperwork.
